Village election results around the Capital Region

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Village residents took to the polls on Tuesday. Voters in Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer and Saratoga Counties voted for trustees and in some cases Mayor. Here is a list of the election results for the races in those counties, with winners highlighted.

Columbia County:

Villages in Montgomery and Washington counties also declared winners.

In Cambridge, James Sweeney received 148 votes for mayor, Trustee Cassandra Weisburgh received 123 votes for trustee and Tim Kavanaugh received 88 votes for the second trustee seat.

In Canajoharie, Cecil Jones ran unopposed for judge and received 132 votes. Also, Dan Pickel and Edward Watt received 158 and 177 votes, respectively, for trustee positions. In St. Johnsville, Melissa Baker received 110 votes for trustee and Gary Warn received 86. votes for a second trustee position.
