ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Every state Assembly and Senate seat is up for grabs this election year and the race for those offices begin with the June 25th primary.
There are two democrats in the Assembly's 107th district trying to move-on to the November general election. One of them is Chloe Pierce. She wants to focus on healthcare, the environment and affordability.
""We really need to incentivize first time home buyers and give grants for more rural spaces, said Pierce. She adds, "whether that be with agriculture and having actual farm land or revitalizing some of the worn down homes and structures that exist in the district."
Pierce believes that could help build the local economies and bring more people to the district and keep them there. Pierce sat down with News10 to discuss the issues facing the 107th district.
